The main door is the intersection between the inside and outside space, the first impression that guests feel when coming to your house. Therefore, the innovation of the main door has brought significant changes to the church in Belgium. Let's explore with Nora Design Italiano in this article!
PROJECT DETAILS AND SCALE
This project is a multi-functional complex, comprising a student dormitory (with 490 rooms), residential apartments, a prayer space for clergy, and amenities such as a shopping center, a training center, and an event center. All of these elements are interconnected by a lush pedestrian walkway, creating an ideal living environment.
The heart of this area is a multifunctional space that serves as both a learning center and a social hub. In addition to classrooms, it features a cafe and a terrace, providing opportunities for relaxation and interaction.

“THE SHINY GEM” OF THE CHURCH
Considered the “jewel” of the church project, the ceremony space is covered with a special ceramic tile layer, which has a sparkling effect and changes according to each angle and light. Moreover, the space becomes more spacious and airy thanks to this uniform, bright-colored coating, combined with luxurious and elegant furniture to create depth in the space, creating a harmonious and seamless architectural whole.

SYNUA DOOR- THE CHOICE FOR INNOVATION
On the 1.8-hectare land of the Ghent Charterhouse monks, besides the monastery and the church, a modern Synua revolving door system has been chosen for installation. This is a bold move, marking a transition from a closed space to an open complex welcoming the public (in complete contrast to the principles of closed monasteries), harmoniously combining tradition and modernity.
In stark contrast to the simplicity of traditional hinged doors, a large revolving door offers a truly unique visual and spatial experience. As one passes through the revolving door, they are transported into a completely new realm where the rotational movement creates a captivating visual effect that draws the eye. Natural light filters through the gaps in the door, casting shimmering beams that evoke a sense of mystery and enchantment. Concurrently, the steady rotation of the door produces a soft, soothing ambient sound, promoting relaxation and comfort. Moreover, the revolving door creates a sense of expanded space, providing an impressive and luxurious entrance to any building, particularly well-suited for large spaces.
