STONE WALL - THE KEY TO CREATING HIGHLIGHTS FOR THE APARTMENT

Marble has long been a symbol of luxury and class in interior design. With its natural beauty, unique veins and superior durability, marble brings a subtle appeal that few materials can match. A Cadogan Square residential project has chosen marble for its walls to make the space more impressive than ever. Let's explore with Nora Design Italiano in this article!

BARDIGLIO NUVOLATO MARBLE

Bardiglio Nuvolato, a marble from the Apuane Alps, is elegant in its distinctive grey hues and irregular grey and white veining. Its exceptional durability and impressive water resistance make it suitable for both wall and floor applications. Its unique colour and durability make it an ideal choice for luxurious and sustainable applications.

“SECOND” APARTMENT PIED-À-TERRE

This stunning pied-à-terre apartment, located on Cadogan Square in west London, is an ideal weekend retreat for an art collector, created by architect and interior designer Viktor Udzenija. The project is the result of a design that expresses a unique “contrast”. With a luxurious modern style, the space is highlighted by exquisite marble details, including a unique 3D Chiffon marble wall, highlighting the luxury of the apartment.

“Pied-à-terre” is a French term that literally translates to “feet on the ground.” In modern terms, it refers to a second apartment or home. This home is comfortable, compact, and often has a modern design, and is intended for the owner to use when he or she is in the city or on a short business trip.

ADOGAN SQUARE PROJECT DETAILS

This 3,000-square-foot, three-bedroom apartment in West London, designed by architect Viktor Udzenija, is a unique blend of old and new, light and dark, soft and grand. Completed in 2020, the space is the result of a global collaboration with talented artisans, from trompe-l'œil painters to marble carvers to ceramicists. The design focuses on contrasts, combining delicate lines, materials and textures to create a multidimensional and emotional home. Udzenija calls it "contemporary luxury".

In the main entrance hall, the architects have shown sophistication through unique details such as 3D marble chiffon wall panels by Lithos Design, silver leaf ceilings, and hand-carved oak floors with a classic Versailles motif, finished in a black gloss finish. Set on a marble podium by Lithos Design is a Damien Hirst work, with a winged bull’s heart pierced by a dagger, creating an almost ceremonial space.

The project aims to create a second space that brings comfort and escapist style to the owner. According to Udzenija: “Design is a way to push yourself and the people around you to be creative, dreamy and dare to express. Whether modern or technical, you will always find poetry in my work."
